The birth story

It started with a set of Moonlight GMK keycaps — three soft, dark blues, three contrasting light tones, and a warm dark-yellow accent. One look and the colors stuck. What began as "I should make a wallpaper out of this" slowly turned into a theme, then a handful of themes for the apps used every day, and eventually a small color theme of its own with a name, a story, and a home on GitHub.

The palette is deliberately small and deliberately considered: three colors for text, three for backgrounds, three for accent, and six "frills" for everything that needs a little more life — all picked with an eye for contrast, coordination, and comfort over long stretches of screen time.

Moonlight is maintained as a community project. If you build a port for an app that isn't listed yet, it's welcome here.

Who's behind it

Moonlight is created and maintained by Abod1960, with help from anyone in the community who wants to port the palette to a new app.
